The 703R is the naked flagship of Zontes' triple-cylinder family, joining the 703F adventure and 703RR supersport. The 699 cc inline three produces 95 hp at 11,200 rpm and around 74.5 Nm at 8,500 rpm, with a 120-degree crank, forged pistons, DLC-treated internals, a balance shaft and a slipper clutch. The chassis, subframe and swingarm are all aluminium, suspended on fully adjustable Marzocchi units and stopped by Nissin brakes with twin radial front calipers. Electronics are a step up for the brand: ride-by-wire, a six-axis IMU enabling cornering ABS, traction control, riding modes, cruise control and an up-and-down quickshifter, all managed through a connected TFT with mirroring and a menu joystick. An A2-restricted version is available.

A new model, and what that means for buying

The 703R reached the Spanish market in the second half of 2026, which is worth knowing before you shop. Aftermarket support for a bike this new builds over months, not weeks - early availability concentrates on universal-fit items and the parts that are quickest to tool up: frame sliders, bar ends, levers, tail tidies, phone mounts and tank pads. Model-specific crash bars, luggage systems and screens follow later. If a listing for a brand-new model looks unusually cheap and unusually specific, verify the fitment carefully.

Where demand will settle

As a naked, this bike follows the streetfighter pattern: crash protection first, then wind management with a small sport screen, then ergonomics and cosmetics. Because the frame, subframe and swingarm are aluminium, mounting hardware is specific - clamp-on universal sliders are a poor idea here.

Fitment

Covers the ZT703-R and the "703R ETC" naming used in Spain. Engine-side parts are shared with the 703F and 703RR triples; bodywork, subframe and rear-end parts are 703R-specific.
