Air and oil filters are the parts every owner will need sooner or later, and the ones most often out of stock at a dealer when a service is due. An air filter that has done a dusty season costs power and fuel; an oil filter should be changed with every oil change. Having both at home means the service happens on time. A worn front sprocket shows hooked teeth and should be replaced together with the chain and rear sprocket. A slip-on or link pipe changes the sound and saves weight; check your local noise and homologation rules before fitting one for road use.
