Installation
Installation
- Park the motorcycle securely on a stable surface and allow the exhaust to cool completely.
- Locate the corresponding mounting points around the exhaust area.
- Position the guard bar and align it with the mounting points.
- Install the hardware without fully tightening it at first.
- Check alignment and clearance to the exhaust, rear wheel and footrest.
- Tighten all mounting hardware evenly and securely.
- Recheck the fasteners after the first few rides.
Important: The exhaust becomes very hot during and after riding. Only install the guard on a cold motorcycle. The guard is designed to help reduce damage during minor drops and cannot prevent all damage in a serious collision.
