Maintenance and Function
Swingarm spools provide dedicated contact points for compatible rear paddock stands, making it easier to lift the rear of the motorcycle for maintenance tasks such as chain cleaning, lubrication and general servicing.
They can also help keep the paddock stand hooks away from direct contact with the swingarm surface when the correct stand type is used.
Installation
- Park the motorcycle securely on a stable and level surface.
- Locate the threaded spool mounting points on both sides of the rear swingarm.
- Confirm that the mounting threads are compatible with the supplied 8 mm bolts.
- Position one spool on each side of the swingarm.
- Thread the mounting bolts carefully by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Tighten both sides securely using appropriate tools.
- Confirm that the spools are firmly mounted before using a paddock stand.
Important: Use only with a compatible rear paddock stand and correctly sized mounting threads. Never lift the motorcycle if either spool is loose, damaged or incorrectly installed.
